could not fully initialize epic online services Please help
Hello

as title says i have an issue while trying to play the game

latest alpha ive played was 21 with mods

so far this is the first time im facing any kind of issue

the only thing that changed was the files that got updated in the new alpha
and obviously i deleted the mods that i waas using due to wantint to try the new 1.0 update

so first of all

my antivirus is AVG i have set exceptions for it as it detected some issue with experimental files

not an issue anymore anyway

expections were made and i tested to see if the game would launch with it and windows firewall turned off

it did not

running on win10 7d2d ver 1.0

EAC disabled

i had reinstalled EOS to the newest version

flushed my dns

and cleared cache bar settings

reinstalled the whole game

antivirus and firewall have all exceptions they need and occasionally trying to launch it with antivirus and firewall disabled

steam works fine as i can play offline but i want to enjoy the game with a friend thus multiplayer and eos needed...

anyway here is a bit of the log that seems to be the issue so please help

Same problem since update to Ver 1. First time it was the VPN, disconnected and it booted, but today, it has happened again after a wipe and a fresh install, VPN Closed. Doubt we will get any help though.

I had this issue when I first booted up 1.0. Restarting my computer and Steam resolved it and I haven't had it happen again since then *crosses fingers*

Easy anticheat hasn't even installed I now have EAS_EOS Which is not EAC.Exe. Fun Pimps know how to take the fun and mess it up!

I just verified the files, Rebooted and added an exemption to my antivirus/vpn for EAC EOS and the new installed folder for 7DTD and I can now get in. I hope this works for you guys.

That's weird. Because I can request https://api.epicgames.dev/sdk/v1/default?platformId=WIN with my browser and if I look at the certificate, *.epicgames.dev is clearly among the Subject Alt Names. I'll do some more digging because I probably suffer from the same problem

/Edit: oh well, look at this, I managed to reproduce the bug by specifically using the same server IP address you were using 3d ago:
benjamin@workstation:~$ curl -vvI --resolve api.epicgames.dev:443:44.198.255.91 https://api.epicgames.dev/sdk/v1/default?platformId=WIN * Added api.epicgames.dev:443:44.198.255.91 to DNS cache * Hostname api.epicgames.dev was found in DNS cache * Trying 44.198.255.91:443... * Connected to api.epicgames.dev (44.198.255.91) port 443 * ALPN: curl offers h2,http/1.1 * TLSv1.3 (OUT), TLS handshake, Client hello (1): * TLSv1.3 (IN), TLS handshake, Server hello (2): * TLSv1.2 (IN), TLS handshake, Certificate (11): * TLSv1.2 (IN), TLS handshake, Server key exchange (12): * TLSv1.2 (IN), TLS handshake, Server finished (14): * TLSv1.2 (OUT), TLS handshake, Client key exchange (16): * TLSv1.2 (OUT), TLS change cipher, Change cipher spec (1): * TLSv1.2 (OUT), TLS handshake, Finished (20): * TLSv1.2 (IN), TLS handshake, Finished (20): * SSL connection using TLSv1.2 / ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 / prime256v1 / rsaEncryption * ALPN: server accepted h2 * Server certificate: * subject: C=US; ST=California; L=Irvine; O=CoreLogic, Inc.; CN=*.okcmar.mlsmatrix.com * start date: Mar 18 00:00:00 2024 GMT * expire date: Feb 22 23:59:59 2025 GMT * subjectAltName does not match host name api.epicgames.dev * SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name 'api.epicgames.dev' * Closing connection * TLSv1.2 (OUT), TLS alert, close notify (256): curl: (60) SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name 'api.epicgames.dev' More details here: https://curl.se/docs/sslcerts.html curl failed to verify the legitimacy of the server and therefore could not establish a secure connection to it. Try to changing your DNS server to sth. like 8.8.8.8 (one of Google's public DNS, usually pretty up2date).
