Player progress and day-counter reset after server restart
Hi, i'm hosting a MP-server on 4netplayers for 1.0 experimental, after the automatic restart the player progress is completely reseted and the day is set back to 1 again. Is anybody experiencing the same or has any solution?

This occurs on improper shutdown when the files don't get written to disk properly. Either super slow hardware, or something is interfering with the process like not excluding the client from security software.

So it is basically not possible to rent a server and host that game? The automatic restart is no problem in all the other games i hosted so far e.g. DayZ, Valheim, Arma3, Empyrion etc.

For me it seems that this version of the game does not save A) world-data regulary and B) does not save player-data properly and does C) a complete wipe of the map after every server-restart.

Rent a DEDICATED machine then host. Use managed stuff like you are saying, get stomped by the people who are scamming you, that simple, period. Hell, doesn't even need to be a full on machine but a cheap VPS could do. Check on your MANAGED server if its not resetting the world, and automatic restarts are not really a thing as I am hosting my own server for over 30 hours now (and came on this subforum to report an issue I found)

I never had the intention to report something, my thread got moved...
But I found a "solution" to the problem:
After creating a new server profile, I stuck to the "Basic Mode" config (webinterface).
There has to be an option in the advanced settings (.xml file) that causes this problems.
The documentation to those settings is very meager so it basically comes down to trial and error finding the one causing it.
My top two suspects so far are:
1. property name="EACEnabled" (should match client settings and maybe should be set to true BEFORE the first server launch)
2. property name="IgnoreEOSSanctions" (could not even log in as admin to my server, maybe EOS uses own player IDs and not the Steam-ID, after setting it to true i could use console and admin-commands)

EOS is Epic Online Services, so yeah, not Steam IDs. EAC is Easy Anticheat. Again, you are using a managed server instance and you should ask for support from their support agents rather than players on Steam, as it seems they are using their own management stuff and the serverconfig.xml from the official dedicated server is pretty straightforward (and does have the properties you mentioned).
