Fort camo button to open steel hatch?

I found the button, but it wont allow me to click it ._. broke in beside the hatch, cleared out everything, got the loot, but i cant finish my quest because the game wont let me use the button, checked everywhere else for zombies but the dot is pointing to under the hatch, and knowing this game, its telling me i need to press to button to cause the zombies to spawn

Usually the buttons are triggered when you destroy them. Maybe it will work in this case too.
