zombies crawling through 1 block space
TFP said that zombies aren't supposed to crawl through 1 block space and they keep doing it. I would be fine with this change being a mechanic if the player could do it also but at this point, the zombies actually have a lot more accessibility to areas than the player does. They can also climb ladders when the top ladder is missing.

In short: zombies are cheaters

They really don't try to get through one space blocks it could be circumstantial events.

One of my horde bases uses a 1 block space that they can't get through. When I say they can't get through one space I mean there are 30 zombies standing there trying to kill me but they don't fit past the one space high gap. It is just a hatch on the ground that opens up blocking the lower space and they can be hit or shot at through the top portion. Sometimes however, one of them does get through because they are pushed through or blown through, especially if their legs get blown off it seems to happen more frequently. Another horde base I have uses blade traps vertically with horizontal bars to block them from getting to me and sometimes the trap chops up their legs and then overcrowding from 32 zombies at once will push them through the bars. It is rare maybe 2 or 3 zombies per game stage 400 blood moon. I think crawlers are meant to be able to get through 1 space. I have seen where a regular zombie with legs intact does blown through a gap but it is even more rare.

The ladder thing is most likely at least 2 zombies at a time, the first one will climb all the way up and the 2nd one will climb on top of the other zombie and the last missing ladder rung becomes a single space jump for them since they are standing on the lower zombies shoulders. They don't really do this on purpose its more of a result of overcrowding sometimes they can get over walls this way too. If you cut off the lower rungs off the ladder it should solve the issue as they don't stand on each other purposefully to reach it. The first zombie is also most likely attempting to attack that top block because once it is destroyed they can climb onto and past it so if you upgrade that block to the strongest they may try another route altogether.

nope, I've seen it for myself. a single zombie climbed up a ladder and the top ladder was missing because i destroyed it a bit further for a reason. the zombie reached the top ladder climbing till the end of the ladder stood a sec. in the air and jumped up the last empty space to the roof

You must be new to ladders. It is the bottom 2 that prevent zeds not top 1. As for the 1 block thing that is just them being glitched thru. Not tfp lying as you put it.

It is not them glitching through, you must be new here. They even have a crawl animation catered just for it. OP is right, we USED to be able to really crouch and go through one space horizontally, now just zombies can, which is rude.

Lol, I didn't say they were "liars".... that was YOUR words. I was suggesting that they have an unintended mechanic in the game.

Also, I know about the bottom ladder thing. In fact, I know pretty much everything you could possibly know about this game because I have been playing for 10 years, lol. I was talking about the zombies climbing up a ladder that isn't there at the top.

You didn't read anything I said. haha

Try using shutters on a one block space. You can open it up, blast off a couple of shotgun rounds and close it up again and move to another shutter hole that covers the same area.
