However, for the next one: Do I leave blocks.xml in the mods/IDCNoAutoTraderWaypoints folder?
I am guessing/theorizing they are sorta hardcoded in a file not accessible to us, once created. I recall a post where someone tried to port their character into a new map/save using some process they'd used in other Alphas, and the now-not-applicable trader waypoints from the previous save still existed on that chr. in the new game. They couldn't figure out how to remove them.
Unfortunately I can't seem to search/find that post so I can't be sure of details/what was said. Edit: maybe the official 7 Days forum would have more posts or possible solutions posted.
I've had a few duplicated waypoints but not very many, maybe because I don't use them or even run past them very much thus don't hang around their "space" often.
The waypoints are stored in the player's ttp file. In the past you could copy that file to a new map and transfer your character. You would have to pick up any vehicles or drones before you did this or else you would get undeleteable markers for those in the new map. Now we have undeleteable trader waypoints. There used to be a profile editor that could edit the ttp file, but that hasn't been updated for years. I am guessing that the ttp file could be edited to change the trader markers to a deleteable state, and I may look at that at some point if someone else doesn't do it, or if tfp decides to fix their mess.
