Can’t become afmin on my own nitrado server

Hello, and before I start: my english is not that good sorry. Anyway, i have rented a server from nitrado and I want to become the admin of it. I already pasted a code with my steam ID in the game admin xml file. When I enter the server and type in: dm it says i don’t have permission. (My server is set to cheat mode). Help would be apreciated! (I posted the same topic in multiple sections because i didn’t know which one was good)

Sorry to say but then maybe you shouldn't run a server, if you don't know how.

See, you log in your nitrado homepage, look at the overview of rented servers.

There you click on the 7d2d server, choose web control panel.

On the right side you have a few options. I think its called server config or similar.

Choose this option, then a file will show, that you can alter.

One of first lines should be named “server admin“. Here you write down your user name.

Then save the file and restart the server. Done


Don't tell it doesn't work, because it does.

okay so what i did is:
I went to all my hired servers.
I clicked on my 7DTD server.
I went to Web Interface.
To the LEFT I went to Tools and beneath that was my file Browser.
I went to there.
(there was a relog file to and another file)
I added my serveradmin.xml file there.
I made sure the name of the xml file was right.
I restarted the server and i'm going to try out now.

And if you can't find the web panel (file browser on your server) you should at least have an option to access your server via ftp. Just enter your ftp server address via your normal windows (my computer), so that you could copy and paste your local created serveradmin.xml into the correct server folder. If you do that correct, there would be no excuse left ;)

One more question: can I also add plugins like tping other players? Or maybe an inventory upgrade?

Theres already built in commands for teleporting.

If you have access to the files to be able to mod the server, yes you can add an inventory upgrade. If you don't have access to the files that way, then you won't be able to add that.

You need to copy the mod files into your niteado web interface, the file browser/ game files folder.
