Could not fully initialize Epic Online Services

On Dec 29th I tried playing 7 Days for the first time in a few months. Then and since then I get the error message "Could not fully initialize Epic Online Services" before loading the main menu and can only launch the game in offline mode. I can't remember exactly when I successfully played the game last, but it was definitely A20.4 or later and I had no issues.

The problem appears to involve my home wi-fi network. I've had the same error on three separate computers. A friend even brought his laptop over; same error message here but worked perfectly when he tried at his place. Besides 7 Days I haven't noticed any issues with my home wi-fi. I have not changed any network settings since I last played 7 Days successfully and I have a reliable, fast fibre connection.

I have tried:
-Launched the game with EAC disabled
-Launched game with Microsoft Defender Firewall disabled
-Restarted modem and router
-Updated router firmware
-Installed 7 Days A20.3 (No error message but loading pauses in the same place and won't load the menu)
-Forwarded ports TCP: 8080-8081, 26900 UDP: 26900-26902

I have also updated drivers, reinstalled 7 Days etc. but won't post all those details since I don't believe the issue is my PC.

Does anyone have any ideas? The only possible solution I've come across is to delete Epic Online Services from the game files, but this is not an option for me because I only play multiplayer.

Does that fix prevent you from playing the game in multiplayer? I thought that it would.

Are you using a VPN for your home network? That can / will cause issues for 7d2d MP. Also, go into Device manager...under the Network icon (expand it.) Go up to the menu bar, choose to 'show hidden devices' and look through the adapters in your Network adapters list. If you have any 'virtual' and / or 'hyper V' adapters listed, you can R-click them and choose 'disable.' Do this for all of them listed there. Once finished, close device manager and reboot the PC. Go back in there to double check and be sure MS didn't just start a new one. If it did, you probably need to go into control panel, 'Programs'....click 'uninstall a program' then 'Turn windows features on / off.' In that window, uncheck any of the hyper V and items related to 'virtual' settings. Then you'll need to reboot again and double check Device manager again. Once you're sure you've got rid of them dang virtual network adapters, check your network connection properties and be sure it's set for 'Private Network' then try connecting to MP again.

I'm not using a VPN. I disabled the virtual adapters, restarted, and verified they were still disabled as you suggested. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm still having the same problem.

Well, today the game is working normally. Haven't touched anything and I didn't notice any updates. Oh well, all's well that ends well. Thanks for the suggestions.
