I can't place blocks in a certain spot.

Building a wall and for some reason I can't place any blocks in these 2 spots, Cleared around as much as I could and even rebooted the world, nothing. What do?

Easyest way i read to get rid of this is to get the Dev Shovel out of the CM menue (enable CM, enable Dev stuff (icon) search for DEV) and raise the soil (will destroy the blocks you dig in too) then use your shovel/pickaxe and clean the area and build it again.

As i said, i read that someone did it this way, never did it myself

Is another block taking the space?
What I mean is, when you place a block, even if just a sheet, it will take up a full block area.
The area taken by the invisible part of the block area cannot have items or blocks built within that spot, only on top of or around that area, making it look like the item is floating above the other or having a gap between the block areas.
If that's the issue, you need to remove the piece blocking that area and re-arrange it so they fit properly.

I had this problem and I found a fix for it. Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqACUQXgNdM You need to use a dev tool called admin block replacement tool and selection menu to fix it. You need to play around with it for a bit though, I manage to fix mine by selecting the area around where the bug is and replacing it all with air, then putting dirt in it and replacing dirt with blocks, and it worked for me :D, hope this helped.

I found a much simpler solution: I placed building blocks above the bugged spots supported from nearby blocks. Then collapsed the blocks by removing the support, creating debris blocks where the bugs are. Logged out, logged in and cleared the debris. Now I could build again in these two bugged spots. Alpha 21 version.

Ran into this back in A20 and again just now in A21 and was able to clear the bug by backing out of the game and verifying game files. After that I was able to place a block in the spot no problem.
