I'm actually getting this problem as well. Installed the new update last night and played on it lan yesterday with my sister. Loved the new update, Makes the game more fun as it's harder to get by. But it was getting late so i had to head off and go to bed. Been looking forward to playing it all day and when i get on my sister's server, my mouse just won't move. It moves on the main screen and when you hit ESC ingame, but the second you try to replay the game it just stare's straight ahead. It's like it's locked. Tried making my own save to test to see if it was just faulty with her server, but it still locked my mouse. Me and my sister have the same type of mouse though she can still play her game with no mouse problems at all. I have Verified integrity of game cache, and it still hasn't worked. Was really looking forward to continue building our home, while surviving the relentless hordes. But i guess I'll just have to wait until they fix it.
EDIT: Guys thanks to someone on the forum my game now plays again. They said if you set your mouse Sensitivity to 0, apply it and then play your game, once you log off the game it's like a bug that makes it Stick to 0. So when you go in game your mouse won't work as it's set lower than what it should be, like it disables it. Something around those lines. So to get your game working again, load up your game to the main menu, go to options, change your mouse sensitivity to 1. Hit apply and close down 7 days to die. Once that's done, boot it back up and test it out in game. When i tried this my mouse started working ingame.

Suddenly today, after logging in, I am now having this issue as well.
Not always, but it seems to happen after i right click while holding a weapon of any kind.
Mouse Look stops working then and I have to reload the game.
Nothing else seems to help and no option trickery seems to fix it.
I do remember that JaWoodle on YouTube had this happen to him and he almost rage quitted,... no idea how he was able to fix it tho.
It is kind of annoying since it seems to happen at least every 5 minutes, so I just can't play like that. Last time it happened while I was being attacked and I had to grenade myself to kill the zombie before me. Barely made it out alive that time,...
Right when I get hit and maybe get stunned, I lose control of the mouse in game. Logging works but I don't want have to do this all the time, obviously.
