Item duplication glitch

Found a way of duping items while playing in a server with friends, while taking items out of a chest, I lost connection to the server, but after I joined back did I find that I had all the items in my inventory and the items were still in the box, connecting two and two together I started to duplicate large number of items that seems to work with everything as long as it can be placed in a box or storage container.

The way to do it,
Go to any container with the desired item inside, put the item in your inventory but dont leave the storage menu, at this moment you will need to find a way of disconnecting from the server, luckily for me I have a usb that connects my computer to the internet so I just unplug and replug the usb back in (not sure if alt+f4 works too, never tried) but once you join back in you should find that you have the desired item in your inventory and should still be in the container you pulled it from.

I have never tried this in singleplayer but I would think that and alt+f4 would do the trick.
