Game crashed and made me lose my gyrocopter and drone

So I was flying around exploring with my drone following me, when suddenly midflight, the game crashed due to some kind of "exception" (didn't quite catch the message).

When I logged back in, my character was on the ground and both the copter and the drone have vanished and cannot be seen on the radar.

I figure I just go into god mode to spawn myself new ones in place of the lost ones, and while that works fine for the gyrocopter, with the drone it complains that I already have a drone. "Max deployed drones reached"

My question is whether anything can be done to fix this situation. For instance would I be able to go into the XML files somewhere and change a value to "empty" my drone usage?

Nevermind, as soon as I started flying back into the air with the newly spawned copter, the drone suddenly appeared and "powered up". Whew!

She went into hiding when you disappeared so the nasty zombies wouldn't try and kill her. Once you reappeared she came out of hiding to once again join you on exciting exploration expeditions. You got a good drone there! :)

Hehe! Yeah she's been very faithful and taken good care of me so far! I have to admit that as crazy as it sounds, it is kind of comforting to hear her say things from time to time as I explore the vast desolate barren and very unforgiving lands!

Oh darnit. It happened again. :-/ This time I caught the error message. It was "Unexpected mark stack overflow".

Upon googling this, I found another person reporting the same experience. They also crashed and also lost their vehicle.

Update: I spawned a new copter again (which made it my third one) and when I went flying with it, I spotted the old one flying up in the sky unmanned. Then got huge amounts of damage, fell to the ground and was never able to retrieve it again. See screenie:

mack stack error seems to be common error with the new "stable" update
