Why is the Anti-Cheat Engine Always Running, Even with the Game Not.
I installed this awhile back and noticed the game uses EasyAntiCheat, which is fine.
My only question is, why does it stay running all the time?
Even when the game is not running it is active and seems to be running in the background all the time.
I used my tune up program to put it to sleep when the game is not in use, but why is it always running?

Kinda just what EAC does- I'm not sure exactly why it's always open in the background, but supposedly it's just idling unless a program that calls for it is running.

I probably wouldn't have noticed, it's just it gets flagged for slowing my system down and using resources by my tune up program. I just wonder what it's doing to use resources when it should be idle or off when the game is not in use.

I hope not but probably because it is spying on you all the time to see if you are not using some kind of "offline" cheating method you could use in competitive gaming. I don't have any examples but i've seen people reporting this kind of stuff flaging them for using cheat engine and such in other single player game and getting warning in other game they never used cheats in.

Oh I see, like Preventative scanning offline. But shouldn't it be idle unless I am at least playing a game?
I just got this not to long ago, only played it twice.
No mods or anything, just the game. Was actually gonna watch some vids on YT to figure out how to play.
But after the install is when I got a resource alert as described above.

That´s weird. I just tested this. Had the task manager open, always on top so i can see the activity.

I joined a server, and EAC didn´t do anything. Just uses 2.5MB of the RAM. And yes it was a server that uses EAC.

I´d rather not trust your tuning programm here tbh even tough it´s weird that EAC is just sitting there idling even when i join a server.

Well it runs as a background service and autostarts with windows now.
Running in the background at all times.
That's why the AVG TuneUp picked it up. It only scans at idle times, checking services and such and then notifies me of anything. Haven't had any resource alerts in a long while, my systems pretty optimized, so this one kinda caught my eye.
Putting it to sleep, except when the game runs seems to work though.

EAC should not be running when your game is not running.

If it is, you have a system issue.

Strongly recommend opening the game's launcher, unticking "use EAC", and saving the preference so you never launch EAC.

Mostly because why would you need EAC if you play with your friends, as you should do.

Well I got this so I could join my friends and play with them. I'm just to new to the game atm so all I've done is make a 1 player game to try it. I'll make that change, I don't have it for anything else I play.
Thanks
