Report a translation problem
In my case it happened 2 times. One time my motorcycle appeared after I crafted one and randomly in a part of the map i haven't explored yet.
The second time it was buried. I used the DM to check and it was below the terrain.
Faatal said that apparently there's a bug in Unity that re-calculates the origin of the world (whatever that is) at random intervals screwing object positions and also causing the dreaded turret glitching through blocks bug.
He's already found a way to minimize the issue in the future (almost to zero).
