Opening Trade Routes Bug

I've gotten the "special quest", or Opening Trade Routes, quest from two traders now in game. Each time I go and talk to the trader they want me to speak with, when I go back to the original trader, it still offers me a "special quest". At that point, I have to accept the quest AGAIN and go all the way back AGAIN to the trader they sent me to, complete the quest, and then it will register as being completed.

I was trying to see if anyone had posted about this exact issue, but I was having a hard time finding anyone talking about having to complete the quest twice in order for it to register. I'll be honest, I'm not sure I'm getting exp for the first turn in or not. I couldn't tell.

Having a similar issue! Trader gave me the special quest twice, however it did not unlock the next tier for me and after the second time turning in the new trade route quest, i couldnt even get another one. Meaning i did 7 Tier 1 quests, then the trade route quest twice and am still in Tier 1.
Also hoping, that someone could help with that.

Mine has worked the past two trade routes, but I made it a point NOT to speak to the trader at all in any way, shape or form until the next day rolls over. I wouldn't take any other quests, wouldn't do anything. It would eventually go out to the next tier after doing it the second time before, so that's odd that it won't even progress that part.

I think the quest got a little bugged out in a20. I hate that you aren't even getting that. :(
