need a way to stop console popping up from error messages, or disable it completely.

Hey, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I'm looking for a way to stop the console of opening itself. I swear I saw a mod that stopped the console popping open from red error messages.

I was messing with some a19 mods to see if I could get them to work for a20. I believe I have if I used a new save, but stupidly I was using a real save and didn't back it up. Oops!

I'm now getting red error messages that I KNOW aren't actually a problem, the game will continue working fine. BUT the game pops open the console every time the messages happen, causing me to keep freezing in place and have to close the console. I can't for the life of me find the mod again, help would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes those red errors can be caused by something as simple as a left out quotation mark somewhere. And yeah even if the game will load and you can roam around/play, at some point that red flag could mean something bad could happen. One never knows - don't assume it's "safe" simply because it loads you in vs. crashing or whatever.

If you have Notepad++, it'll tend to highlight any bit in an .xml that doesn't have the proper syntax, if for example it's something like a missing quotation mark.

I wish I knew, I wish I knew. Theres tons of times in a19 when darkness falls opened console and almost killed me or did kill me.

I tried explaining this to someone else in the support forum and the poor guy got angry at me for it (after I spent hours trying to help him). If you load your game with a mod, that save is now forever and irrevocably modded, even if you uninstall the mod 5 minutes later.

He kept saying "But I verified files and reinstalled" while getting angry, and I tried explaining to him there's a difference between the game files and your save game. He never got it.
