Unable to join servers
Since the new update I haven't been able to join a server. I check the server version and its the same as mine Alpha 20.3(b3)
It says
"Server disconnected you:
Unexpected data received. Server is either running an incompatible version or requires the client to install mods"
Again the version is the same and some of the servers i'm trying to join have no mods

Have you tried running 7d2d launcher.exe and check to make sure settings are correct? Not sure if you had a save going but, you could manually back it up then, use 'tools' in the launcher and clear all the old data.
Is EAC enabled / disabled in launcher and does the server require it?
Have you edited the 'Platform.cfg' file and deleted 'EOS' from the line 'CrossPlatform=EOS'?

So after I uninstalled, deleted the folder and reinstalled, and doing everything you suggested, I still cannot join any servers. Idk what else to do.

Have you tried resetting your modem / router--removing power for 15 minutes? Also, reset your Windows Firewall and be sure to 'Allow' it when the pop-up comes up on next launch of 7d2d. Not sure that's the issue here but, would be good to rule it out. Only reasons I can think of why you wouldn't be able to join a server;
Your too far away from the servers you're trying to join....high ping rate causing connection timeouts
Wrong game version from that of the server
Incorrect settings (like needing EAC enabled maybe)
Having mods installed that server doesn't or vice versa....server has mods you need.
Server admin blocks your IP address--not likely from multiple different servers.
The servers require a password or have max connection # limits.
Your firewall incorrectly configured or modem / router has incorrect settings....possibly blocking 2-way traffic of some types.
Your AV blocking some of 7d2d / steam files.
Your Network adapter incorrectly configured.
Or, corrupted Steam client--could uninstall and install fresh client to fix.

did you find a fix?

Anytime you uninstall / re-install.....be sure to run the 7d2d launcher.exe, switch to 'tools' tab, click on 'clean....' and select all the options to clean. This ensures the Windwos Registry keys for 7d2d get reset to what they should be for the version which you've just installed. You should have made a backup copy of your save and map files first ofc.
7 days to die servers are so bad.
