In Sylen I trust. If you say it worked in the past. You can access any of the old beta versions right now. See if you can find on that the eye tracker works.

I would guess an update in 7DtD broke Tobii's support of the game.
I'm sure anybody following Bethesda over the years heard a few things about paid mods, but uh the sales of those mods went into Bethesda's pockets, not some 3rd party. Since you're paying the 3rd party the money, you gotta complain to they and ask why it's not supported.
Look how much work modders in the industry do to keep their free mods updated when dev patches break them. If you were to pay that modder $229 USD (the price of the Tobii eye tracker) you can dam well bet that most modders will find a way to make it work.
Edit:
Oh btw. On Tobii's site. None of the material there uses the ® symbol next to the game and I'd bet the marketing material there is not approved. Just saying, lawyers are a thing.
