The world already exists; Exactly as it says. There's nothing to 'fix'.

When you generate a world, You're generating the entire thing- All at once. Saved to disk. Attempting to generate the same world again will give you the error that it exists- because it does.

In your list of worlds, alongside Navezgane, Pregen01, Pregen02, Pregen03, there will also be player made RWG worlds listed; the name is randomized based on the seed input.

So whatever your chosen seed calls it's world, be it "North daihu mountains" or "South verran plains" or anything of the sort, look for that name in your existing world list.

Are you sure you've deleted your 'Worlds'; And not your 'Saves'? There's a difference.

Saves are deletable in game; You can make as many saves per world as you want, and each will retain it's own unique edits and stuff.

However, Unless you've gone out of your way to
"C:\Users\<youruser>\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\GeneratedWorlds" and deleted everything in this folder, Any unique RWG world you've ever generated still exists there.

Edit: To clarify, When you generate an RWG world with a given seed, (say, ABC123), That world is saved to disk and then you can reuse it as many times as you want without the 10-30+ minute generation time. Saves are made and attached to a world to contain edits and player information- the world file itself does not change, so you can use the same world with a dozen different saves if you want. (although save name has some minor RNG effects on things like grass placement)

Im a returning player from when the game came out and thought to return once the game had more features. Now, what happens if I dont add anything to the seed? I ran into the same problem as the original. Except I haven't noticed any changes personally or any new map files even though it probably doesn't help I haven't given any of the maps a try beforehand. I assume its too late to enjoy the original maps now that I may have overwrote it? I thought it would of saved it as a stand alone.

Maybe I should of played the game before exploring the new features. Its hard to resist my imaginative urges to experiment with possible opportunities for unique creations. So unfortunate I got myself stuck until I receive unpredictable answers.

The map is not too bad. Its a infinite dead forest with some buildings here and there.

What good does this actually do, though? The way loading into the game works, there's no benefit to having a world generated with no saves in it.

I've had a few times now where I've generated a new world and the game crashes between the world generating and putting me into it, which means there's never a save in that world and it can't be played at all, meaning it's just a dead world that has to be deleted by digging through my files instead of any in-game method of deleting it.

You should do the map generation separate from starting a new game. In main menu, go to world editor tools and generate the map first. Then exit 7d2d to flush RAM. Afterwards, you can start 7d2d, select option to create a new game--but you must use a different save name than ones previously used--unless you've already deleted them from the ....\Saves folder. Then you can select the map you had previously generated. You're a LOT less likely to crash doing it this way. A lot of times, when you crash, it corrupts your save files. You could go in there and delete the save and then start a new game...... again, using the previously generated map--which is the beauty of keeping it a separate set of files from your saves files.
