Tripwire shocking me as if it was an Electric Fence.

So i have had a tripwire set up for a while with no problem once i built an electric fence up stairs now its shocking me even with the genny off and the fence off. we are having an electric storm could that cause it?

See if you can reproduce it. And make a proper bug report about it if you can. The "How to Report an Issue" pinned thread outlines what info is needed and how to go about it.

i have the same issue, i think it's cause i connected the first tripwire i made to an electric fencepost for power. subsequently, with every pair of tripwires i linked together, even if they were not connected to power the triplines would shock just like a fencepost. very annoying as we were making a perimeter alarm and now cant cause of this bug

Confirmed, just happened to me as well. Guess bug is still present in alpha 19.4.... Was trying to wire up the tripwire as a trigger for my dart traps, did a test to see if they would fire and instead of firing darts, the tripwire electrocuted me as if it was the electric fence I had used instead of tripwires!
