Trees disappearing at different view angles

I can rotate my view and some trees will just pop out of render. I even tried turning my LOD to 100 and no change. There are other trees in the same line rendered, but just random ones disappear.
I'm wondering if it's because they are on a biome border of taiga and scorched earth.
I also had a tree that would only appear at a very specific view angle. I was able to run up onto it (the low bending trees from the scorched earth areas) and it still was not rendering except in that 1 degree of view angle that would make it appear.

Do you have Occlusion enabled in the graphics settings?

Okay, that's likely the cause. It's grayed out because you can't change it mid game; You'll have to exit out to the main menu to change it.

Occlusion is a new setting to A18, and it still has some..ehm..Quirks, shall we say.

If turning that off doesn't help though, I'm not sure what it could be.

... just saying thank,turning Occusion seems to have resolved/solved this issue for me.

yup.. i got the message sayingg i needed to reload my save file from the menu .. but i dont know why there is no message saying i just cant do that within the game.. would be alot easier i mean if you arent allowed to change it mid game why make it an option.. anyways reloading the file solvved the isseu.

The tooltip does say it can't be changed while in a game.
