I'm trying to host a server for me and my friends to play on, i've forwarded the correct ports but i'm receiving this error. I've tried a direct connection and a dedicated server. Does anyone have a fix for this?

When starting up your server for the first time, it can take several minutes, depending on the server resources, before the server is ready to handle logins. If it never completes, you likely have some issue in your config file. The error you are getting doesn't indicate you have a problem with your port forwarding setup.

You need to check your logm files and see what they have to say. Note if you are trying to run the server with the same PC as you are playing on you could complicate things. That is asking a lot of any PC as it has to do double the work. Be sure you have enough CPU and RAM to do that. Your graphics will not matter. Also be sure your drive is able to keep up.

You will find logs in the root of your server.
