No clay !!

So i dug up tons of clay soil and upgraded the forge with all tools , i cannot make any clay , also i cannot use iron in the forge, keeps telling me i got 0 clay and 0 iron even if i have 1k in backpack..
Someone please explain to me where the hell i can make clay and from what, because i can't figure it out

Also can't use iron and clay soil in traders forge.. so i guess it's a huge bug .. gotto see if i can find a console command to get clay i guess

They made all soil clay now clay soil is also clay. Put the soil in the forge.

Also animals are made of tanned leather now if that comes up.

The forge with the trader is typicallydestroyed from what I have seen. Also make sure you are putting the iron and clay soil in the forge and turning it on. That will burn it and add it to your forges inventory. That is when you can start using the iron and clay in the forge and it will increase from 0 clay and 0 iron over time.

Add iron/clay to forge, add a fuel sorce such as wood or coal, turn it on, and wait.

The way the Forge works is you have to put it into the Smelting slots. Not in your backpack.

There are 2 on the side.

Put your Iron and other materials in there and when it's on it'll melt into the Forge.

The Forge will pull from the resources it has listd, You'll see something like
Iron: 0
Glass: 0
Lead: 0

etc etc.

Once it's smelted in those numbers will rise and that is how you make something in the Forge.

The clay soil and iron need to be melted into the forge. You can't use it from your backpack. There should be two slots next to the place where it lists iron, lead, brass, glass, stone, clay. Put the iron and clay in those and turn the forge on. It should start adding numbers to the iron and clay, then you can make things from the forge.

I don't know about your game, but in mine animals still give hide not tanned leather.

They changed how it works, animals now give leather. It is still in experimental so not everyone has opted to update yet.

Thanks , will see if that works , i am new to the game , at least they should have some tool tip , so people know how to use materials ... lol

The icon is the old hide icon, but it's actually leather. There is no more hide, from what I've seen.
