[FIX] Dedicated Servers stuck on "Starting Game" screen!

After a week and countless hours, I have finally figured out how to get my server up!

If you are stuck on the "Starting Game" and can't do anything (you hear music) I might have the fix for you.

Remove the Save Folder from your serveradmin.xml file (your custom path) and use the default save (%APPDATA%/7Days To Die) to store your maps (under that user account).

For some reason the SaveFolder option stops at "Starting Game..." and doesn't like changing the path.

[DEVS] Please look into this as the server loads up fine but won't let anyone in the game. It's like it doesn't want to load the map. You can hit F7 and see the map but it looks blank, etc. You can hear the music and all but it's stuck.

[NOTE] I would have posted this on the 7Days Forum, however I verify the capta and it keeps telling me I didn't validate it. I did it on 3 different browsers and it still acts like I'm not doing it. Lol. So if someone else wants to post this on there to help others feel free :)

You want to edit the serverconfig.xml and adjust.

/save folder is defined in the serverconfig.xml file, not the serveradmin.xml file.

Besides, I'm not sure that this is really the root cause of the issue you're experiencing. I use a custom save directory, and we've been logging in fine. Some other players have been having loading problems, but others get in just fine. I suspect there's something else at play than the save folder path.

Id recommend 7DSM from Pioneer. Its a nice GUI. Easy to use. Just make sure to backup your serverconfig and serveradmin and map folder files before updating it. I made a script that backs them up and updates new version then copies files back. If you want it ill pastebin it over.
