Lighting Glitch
I bought this game last weekend and had played it for a couple days really enjoying it, but then something must have changed and when I loaded my game I found that everything was super dark for no reason. I didn't notice right away because it was night, but then I saw the sky brighten up, and the ground stayed dark. Objects like cars and plants that you can interact with seem to almost glow weirdly too. I had to use a flashlight just to move about without tripping over cacti at noon. It also seems to be directional, but I can't tell why because it isn't directional to a light source. Even the character menu seems buggy at this point.

I took a bunch of screenshots to show what I'm talking about and my video settings, but you'd have to look at my steam account to see them since I don't know how to upload them to the post here (sorry). I remember updating graphics drivers when I got the game, but that would've gone into effect when I restarted my computer, not three days after. If someone knows what's going on I'd love to get back to playing the game like normal.

Well, Now there is apparently another new update to my drivers so I guess I'll see what happens after that first. I hate restarting my computer so often, but if I can get back to killing zombies and making sweet post-apocolyptic bunkers by doing so, so be it.

Mine was fixed! I updated to the GeForce Game Ready Driver 376.19 that came out today, Restarted my computer before and after installing it. Went in to the game to check it and without changing any settings and it worked. Didn't change SLI settings either. So that fixed /my/ problem. Hopefully that helps.

Okay, it was temporary but I fixed it again and more permanantly by disabling the compatability thing in the launch menu before starting the game. I thought it was triggered by looking at the furnace or florescent lamp though.

When I disabled reflected shadows the issue dissapeared for me.

Did you try disabling the "Use GLCore renderer" option in the game launcher?

I did and it helps at 32 bit, but I had to switch to 64 and back to fix it.
Also the update might've helped.
