Solving that however isn't the most straightforward since it can be a number of things;
Incorrectly configured, old, or corrupted Windows 7 Home Premium device drivers. (very common) - steams driver booster should fix this.
Corruption in Windows registry from a recent spsys.sys-related software change (install or uninstall). - a sfc /scannow should fix that.
Virus or malware infection that has corrupted the spsys.sys file or related Windows 7 Home Premium program files. - just about any antivirus bar windows defender & AVG should suffice fo this.
Hardware conflict after installing new Microsoft hardware, or hardware related to spsys.sys. - dunno have you done so?
Damaged or removed system files after you’ve installed software or drivers related to Windows 7 Home Premium. - A system restore point would help you here.
spsys.sys blue screen caused by a damaged hard disk. - you're SOL if this is the case and need to backup all vital stuff in my documents & %appdata% pronto pronto.
spsys.sys STOP error due to memory (RAM) corruption. - a memtester should spot any errors here (note it takes a good few hours to test).
Now, first thing I'd check is if I have any system restore points saved up before doing anything.
Then do a complete "chkdsk /B" on all harddrives (this will take a while), then a memtest (will also take a good few hours). If no errors here yet I'd start with a "sfc /scannow" and hopefully find some errors (gonna take effing forever too), if not:
Get yourself a good temporary antivirus program and make a deep heusteric scan of your computer. - guess what? this is gonna take ages to do too.
Burn everything I'd like to save from my documents\, desktop, & %appdata% local & roaming.
slowy stepping back through all points until I stop getting a BSOD. Take notes and or screenshots on what the system points actually do and you'll find what messed up the computer (if it's a driver or software error). This is going to be tedious and slow with a lot of reboots.
OR:
Burn everything you want to keep on a few DVDs (again: my documents, appdata roaming&local, desktop etc.). Then completely wipe the system drive by removing the partition, unplug all other harddrives, reinstall windows, reinstall drivers, reinstall steam, you should be fine now.
This was the result it gave in event viewer

But even before i did that windows memtest, i ran another steam game Dont starve together it uses about the same amount of ram as 7 days does, 7 days uses 6.25gb of my ram when idle and goes between that and my max 7.95gb when playing, but dont starve together only goes between 6 and 6.9gb, i have 2 4gb sticks but since dont starve can use that much ram still tells me the ram stick may still be working, also to clarify i didnt bsod when i ran dont starve together.
Whats also weird it wasnt till today that 7 days did this yesterday up until sunday when i started playing it agian was it fine.
Honestly speaking reading all what u put is puting me on pins and needles, due to my anxiety like it scare the hell out of me moslty cuz idk if im gonna wake up tommrow and my computer just stops working entirely, i barely survived not have panic attack when i reinstalled windows in april of this year, like i havnt even played any games today cuz thats how bad the bsod today put me put me on edge ive just been watching videos on youtube all day hoping my computer doesnt blow up. Ive had this computer for 2 years doing my best to make sure stuff like this doesnt happen cuz there arent realy places near me that fix computers except best buys geek squad but ive sinced learn they dnt realy fix computers but try to talk u into buying their products. And finacily i havtn had chances to save money for a new rig, being poor sucks but it keeps u humble.
Sorry about all this i tend to do this when i get worked up.But anyway back to it umm...I wouldnt be able to do most of what you have suggested (mopstly cuz i didnt undertsand it), except reinstalling windows and everything else but im hoping it wont come to that cuz so far besides when i ran 7 days to dies everything has been fine. But then again besides dont starve togethe i havnt ran any other games to see if they wont bsod been to scared to.
Its prolly stupid of me to even think this but ill prolly just not play 7days and hope none of the other games bsod or stop playing games in general for now and see what happens.
Thaks for the responses to my issue and giving me some helpful solutions/troubleshooting, and again sorry for the other stuff in this post i tend to do that which im doing atm also >.>.
It's not too complicated to reinstall windows, just backup your stuff and pre-download and burn drivers, service packs, programs etc etc before nuking your drive. If you prepare it won't take too long (depending if your win version has service packs included or not , and your internet download speed).
Don't starve doesn't hook your 3D chip on your gfx card but keeps to the 2D chip (if I remember correctly), and therefore some drivers aren't loaded.
Maybe just maybe it's enough to reinstall directX 9,10 & 11? (dependent on win version) and replace your 3d drivers. Maybe. But that spsys is sneaky and I'd be more comfortable with a reinstallation to totally remove the issue.
If you google "spsys.sys" you'll find a bunch of pages claiming they can fix the problem, I wouldn't trust those further than I can throw my grandma.
Do run a "sfc /scannow" and be prepared to insert your win dvd if needed. <---- This should be tried first, we can cross our fingers that you'll get a report saying something in the line of "found and fixed errors in spsys".
If not, well I guess we can always try malwarebytes before going drastic, that usually finds even the most obscure things ( https://www.malwarebytes.com/ ). Note: it will install some crappy real time scanner but that's not what we want, we want to run the manual scan as deep as we can and see if it finds something. Once done with it we just uninstall the darn thing because the realtime scanner is obnoxious.
This is the malwarebytes scan results https://pastebin.com/HsGVk5Ae.
I would like to know what the potential threat/damage if i do not do a reinstall of windows, cuz i realy would like to avoid that.
Also no sign of malware which is both good news - since your current firewall & antivirus is sufficient, but also bad news since we lost a chance to get an "easy fix" sadly.
As for the damage, well every time you bluescreen there's a slight chance that any open/accessed (sp?) file can get corrupted, it's a gamble. It's only a small chance but well you know... eventually something vital is going to break.
It's not something urgent but you need to investigate it further.
I'd advice you to check your system restore points, those usually have a brief description at each point what got changed/installed.
Somehow I find it a bit odd that it's just 7 days to die that bluescreens and not other games, how about we test some other stuff? borderlands 2 is kinda heavy on physx and graphics when yanked up to max with fluid physics etc. especially at the last part of the tiny tina expansion at the tower with all the debris flying around. Isn't warframe kinda demanding graphics wise aswell?
I will have to download borderlands 2 again, but im also worried that if it bluescreens that the issue is my graphics card and that hasnt giving me any problems to indicate that its failing so far.
When i checked my system restore points i only had one and that was timed for an hour after i had the bluescreen and would only effect whocrashed.
Im kinda glad that you find it odd that 7 days was the only one who bluescreened cuz before yesterday it was working fine, well except for when my disk usage would spike when playing it for long periods of time, or when it would stop responding when in the loading screen and closing the game but i just chalked that up to the fact that its still in alpha.
Once bl2 finishes downloading ill run it, fingers crossed my computer doesnt explode or something.
Ok well good news is no blue screen when i ran bl2 i even went in game and ran around the city a bit to see if i had any kind of graphical issues none that could see but im no expert so i couldnt realy tell if i saw one. i couldnt find anything called fluid physics is there an advanced option in video?
But if the game is stable we can rule out your graphics card aswell. So well, the list of culprits gets shorter.
Some other fellow had similar issues that went away with moving steam (and the game) to a different drive. But we already ruled out the harddrive, so well... seems only windows remains I'm afraid :/
Hate to see that a fresh install is the what seems to be the last option, Ive been trying to avoid a reinstall cuz idk how my computer will act like after, i did a fresh install in april of this year and my computer hasnt felt the same since.
I just dnt feel all that confident or reassurd that it will fix all my problems. It like no matter what i choose im playing russian rolette, and sooner or later ima get a bullet. Thinking that way isnt very good with anxiety the stress iv had since the bsod is aggrivating.
My honest opinion would be that my best option would prolly just getting a new pc with windows 10 or somthing cuz so far i feel like 7 just isnt cutting it anymore. Windows 10 may have better tools that can help detect system file corruptions or issues and repair them without fresh installs.
While i cannot afford one at this time could take me a long while to achieve, but its the only thing i have confidence will fix all my problems.
At ths point it seems like you have done all you could for me, ive already uninstalled 7 days to die , and havnt had any issues since. Ill continue to make back ups of my files i want to keep like once a week or somthing, and wait till i can afford a new pc. Im sorry if this is not what you wanted from me but its what i think is best for me, prolly wrong but ill face that bridge when it comes.
What's the error message?
What's the stop code?
Which file( s ) is Whocrashed pointing to?
Otherwise I'd advice you to seek an old lady with a deck of card, she can sort that ♥♥♥♥ out too. But here we need information to give a correct solutions.
