dedicated server not syncing ?
So i rented a dedicated server at gportal

the issue im facing , and googling showed this issue exists since 2014 ...

the issue is when i log in , after the first few seconds or sometimes minutes , my client wont update whats happening in the server , eg i cant open chests , birst nests , zombies , animals , everything gets frozen in place


i tried testing via someone else and it works for him , and the same issue presists for another 3rd person.


any insight or workaroud would be appriciated

also anything that i might have built during that time also dissapears or bugs out when i disconnect and reconnect

sadly that is a server issue. I'm in a multiplayer rented server and no such issue. Sounds like the one through gportal is having a problem.

A simple reduction of max zombies from 60 to 30 , max animals from 50 to 30 , and a simple tick at the disable (forgot name) networking in the 7dtd launcher fixed it for me, its the last option in the launcher

Sounds like too much for the server and your pc to communicate back and forth with all those entities.

This isn't really an issue in any other game


Reducing numbers only made the delay less worse , disabling UNET in launcher options is the fix mostly

This issue is on here since 2014 as fsr as iv read

Unet does suck and disableing it is something I would have reccomeded had I seen your thread sooner.

Though the fact doing what you did made the delay "less worse" or not as bad if you will. Just reinforces my theory. This game is not optimized in full yet and just by it's very nature does run heavy which will exacerbate the issue and why you likely do not see it with "other games". The game also only officially supports 8, but people try to do 20+ all the time anyways.
