[Tier6-POI-INSANE] Your Pro Tips
It has been suggested that clearing a Tier6 POI on insane difficulty is harder than surviving a Blood Moon at any progression level.

Having recently conquered DAY 7000 on INSANE (with a cloned save game), just days after clearing a Tier5 POI (Two-Bit-Tower) on easiest difficulty (and almost dying twice), I must agree.

So, for those who've Tier6 POI experience on any difficulty level:

What are your MUST-HAVE elements to survive the POI?

Note: This thread describes my DAY 7K experience and why I believe the Tier6 POI clear is the harder challenge.

High parkour and armor perks with good armor set, Pain Tolerance helps a lot too. If using ranged weapons then lots and lots of ammo and Run and Gun perk, personally like to have robo-turret too.
Try tier 6 infestation in wasteland biome, those are bonkers.

This makes perfect sense. You'd want strong survivability perks.

Mission difficulty is not what bothering me, the irl time spent on, inventory being full of ammo to clear a huge wasteland POI it and WORST OF ALL trigger spawns, they dont spawn unless u enter a zone, pull a switch or sometimes they dont spawn at all.

Game doesnt indicate where to go unless there are only few triggers left unvisited,
but i wasted a lot of time on some of the end game missions that i spent 2 days clearing, because it didnt show where the last triggers at and it takes too much irl time to go around all rooms and hidden rooms, but you find it eventually if you have time to waste pressing w for another in game day.

But if game shows where the last trigger is, its not always accurate because when you visit that yellow sign, nothing happens,
you try every way to get inside to that room to find out which one is the way that developer intended and none works you try to find a switch on that room or rooms nearby and you find nothing, you leave with 0 reward and thousands of ammo wasted along the way.

There are hundreds of discussions on any 7 days to die forums so devs are aware of the issue

I did clear most of my missions without any issues but when this bug happens it kills all the fun of doing missions, because you start a mission hoping it wont glitch out or wont take hours to find a single small switch thats hid better than a treasure.

Ok that sounds like a real bummer. I've not encountered this type of glitch (yet).

i encountered it only twice that i had to cancel
but still when you are all done but only 1 switch left or place unvisited it takes too much time to check every room and corner for possible trigger is frustrating

T6 can be literal vietnam or not too bad, it depend a lot on one HUGE Single factor: Biome!!

T6 in forest? Not too bad! T6 in wasteland? Omg wtf... Zombies will pile up in some areas when you start shooting seriously for the bigger zombie blocks making them spawn and spawn and merge into a mini 7 days horde... Then they will manage to break in and make their way to you! (Once I literally fought on the yellow overhead crane of Shotgun messiah industry, horde comming from the roof horde comming from the back, ran out of shotgun shells... SHOTGUN SHELLS!!!!!!!! THE ♥♥♥♥ THAT DROP LIKE FKIN WATER!!, thank ♥♥♥♥ I was with a friend! Also, its really in those moment that you realise that your non proficient weapons SUX compared to the rest JEEZ! XD) So yes number uno to me! T6 forest and T6 wasteland are 2 very VERY different ball game!

None of my RWG maps have ever spawned a T5 POI in the wasteland so far, so most of my T6 experience were mainly in the forest biome or the Mesa compounds in the desert/winter biome .Either way I prep my T6 with at least 6-8 stacks of 7.62 ammo, 3-4 stacks of shotgun ammo, 2 auto turrets and stack of ammo, and 1 full stack of iron and steel crossbow arrows each. Most of the time I can stealth kill my way through a T6 using only the crossbow and hunting knife, even managed to clear the final/loot rooms without setting off anyone on a few occasions. It adds time to finishing the POIs but makes them alot easier. Other times have to plant turrets as backup and have fallback routes ready and guns loaded for when it hits the fan.

When generating a map set wasteland size at least around 30-40% and set cities to "many", you will most likely get a big city in Wasteland that's almost sure to have several T5 POIs.
EDIT. It will also most likely have a massive downtown area which will tank your fps no matter what gpu/cpu you have. :D

It happened to me to. But in my experience it's usually a zombie going around and therefor outside the POI, and then the 'marker' not showing. Failed so many quests because of this. Sometimes i manage to find them, standing outside banging on a fence or something.
Uh, what? Either level stealth, crouch and use crossbow, get a car to dump your loot, repeat until cleared, or get M60, level machinegunner, couple thousand rounds - any will do, but AP helps. Faceroll the entire thing.

Tips for Solo Tier 6 on Insane:
-Craft and use the 4x4 for its extreme storage space and use it as a mobile base filled with extra ammo, meds, etc.
-Robotic Drone is helpful, especially with the medic arms and loaded with storage.
-Don't be afraid to backtrack to the vehicle, just make sure you parked it in the POI
-As others have said, max run n gun, armor skill. Pain Tolerance is a good one as well.
sinkingsun690 Feb 19, 2024 @ 9:21am
You absolutely will not do this without your junk turrets. It is so hard to do tier 6 jobs in the first place. You have to have the back up of your junk turrets. I also recommend using the special ammo like AP and the shells in your turrets.
StanislavN Feb 19, 2024 @ 10:48am
ALWAYS have an escape route ready - spend some time busting down doors\walls and placing down ladders at dropdowns. You don't want to get cornered with only way out being through horde of zombies.
