water buckets whats the point?
can i fill a water bucket and make my own pool and then use that pool to get me water to drink? If not then how many other usless things are in this game so i dont wast my time

so i would need the book or ability to drink from murky water right? they have several ways for me to do this...but i dont mind the dew collector but its also a last ditch effort kind thing and i dont like that it seems cheap

No but there is a mod you can find for your helmet that is a portable water filter.
Once you have that the whole water issue ends.

EDIT to be clear its not a mod like you download its just a vanilla armor mod item its been around forever.

i get it i had this once already on a different playthrough my friends were very jealous saying this one of the most op items in the game...then i deleted it because my map was pre generated not random generated so its gone oh well

It now spawns very regularly. So far i found one in each of my games in A21 in the first 5 days or so.
Often from some random trash heap.
