How pickup generator?

I've seen a couple of generators in-game running on the ground in buildings. How do I loot those, or are they even lootable?

Those are not lootable. They exist for the purpose of the "Reactivate Generator" quests that traders give from tier 2 and onwards.
You can deconstruct them for parts i think, at most.

You can but it's not worth it, it will cost you more in durability for your tool than you will obtain material wise.
