falling off the edge proof key ?
just a little suggestion i think would be great is a key that prevents you from falling off the egde, you know like in minecraft. nobody likes to free fall 15 feet while shooting down at zombies or building a castle.

Edge proof dump ass when in minecraft you press shift and you can't fall down a block like you dont wont to die or somone is pushing you off the dam edge press shift or what ever *in minecraft* to not fall *magic your an idiot

I thought that key just made you walk slowly?

They do have a crouch button in this game that makes you move slower, Just like minecraft. It may be improved when they get around to finishing the stealth system.

Calling someone a dumb ass while spelling it dump, Saying "your", when it's in fact "you're". Then calling them an idiot.

Classy.

Try to be nice. I know it's the internet, but still...

Ah, but half the fun (for oddballs like me anyway) is trying NOT to fall off when running away from zombies. It adds to the tension - and reminds me to always bulild at least a one block high wall 'round anything tall.

I had the same thought! When building something tall it would be really helpful!

Funny you call me an idiot when you clearly can't tell I was joking. I would recommend not putting both hands on the keyboard, and pushing down in the future it wrecks your grammar.

I can see this being useful in creative mode but not survival. My advice is don't fall. gravity is an issue you have to contend with in survival.. Jetpacks are for creative mode.

i can see your point. the thing is, the FPS game model, clever as it is, has some limitations. your brain needs to accomodate to the Field of View the game is showing. your vision is greatly narrowed compared to your real life vision and the distances perspective are not the same. as much as gravity, these are all issues you need to contend with. the survival game mode is a simulation one. a realistic chain of events, to some extent. the thing is, there is some things a game cannot simulate. if you had a narrowed vision with a modified distances perspective, chances are, you would fall off the edge. but the game is trying to simulate real events, in wich case you had all your normal senses. its fair to assume you would not fall on the ground with your normal peripherical vision and distances perspective. the 'falling off the edge proof key' is there to bring balance to the fact that the game simply cannot simulate human senses in a real world scene.

A lean left or right fonction could do the trick, to place block easier on the block we are standing on, while still allowing the players to fall to their (un)death.

Valid points but I have not needed that kind of aid and have sometimes built auxilliary platforms next to the main work which then get reclaimed after.. or destroyed durring.. I just see it as having to adapt. I have always felt that the lack sensation of movement as well as lost peripheral vision is a hugh defecit in sims.
