7dtd Issues that need to be fixed now.
Don't get me wrong this game has lots of potential. However at this point in time I quit playing this game and I'm not the only one lots of my buddies aren't playing it anymore ether. I understand it's still in Alpha state but you have hundreds of people posting on this forum about the issues and it seems like things are moving at a glacial pace. We don't even have the next update release date.

I'm going to list the problems by priority:

#1 Fix the steam banning issue. When you ban someone all they have to do is change their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ name and then come back in and piss you off some more (It doesn't ban their steam account). The only way to stop someone from coming into your server is to put a password on it. Now that defeats the purpose of an online coop!;

#2 Why the hell do people spawn next to each other? Some people in this game all they like to do is join a game and destroy all the work someone else has done. So spawning people next to each other seems a little stupid doesn't it? Since that person will come back at a later time now that he knows where your base is and destroy everything. On my server the only rule is don't destroy other peoples bases. Do you think these people will follow this rule? NO! BECAUSE YOU CAN'T EVEN BAN THEM!!!!!!!;

#3 Being able to see through walls and through the earth itself is just awesome isn't it? You dig deep underground so no one can possibly find your base but you don't hang out in it since someone will spawn on top of you and find it. So instead you hang out above ground doing your thing. However a keen griefer knows if you see stone in mid air someone has an underground base. So the keen griefer digs a hole just deep enough to be able to see underground. Find your base and destroy everything and then leaves the game. Because this guy isn't playing the game because he wants to build bases. He plays the game because he wants to piss everyone off;

#4 You should be able to ban people in the game and not have to get out, type the servers IP in your web browser. Then have to type the password in, then type the command to find players, then ban their name and of course they come back in with a slight difference in their name so you have to do the whole process again. After a while you have to put a password on since all this guy wants to do is piss you off he doesn't care about the game; and

#5 There should also be a way to advertise the rules of your server before players enter the game.

Solutions:

#1 Simple, allow admins to be able to ban steam accounts not players names. Also keep it simple by allowing admins to be able to use all the commands inside the actual game;

#2 Don't allow new players to spawn next to players in the game. Set default spawn points throughout the map and also allow admins to be able to set default spawn points. Also enable a Party option where players have the option of joining a party so they can spawn next to each other. However both players need to accept the party invite before joining the party;

#3 This one speaks for itself don't allow players to see underground or through walls; and

#4 Having the admin commands in game will make things a lot easier for the admins trying to run the server. Also I've seen some really good idea's on this forum about console commands. Therefore I won't copy their idea's.

+1 I totally agree, Idk if its just me but its EXTREMLY difficult to make a server ;/ Ive been trying to make one since I bought the game, but no luck

Please feel free to add to this or disagree if you'd like. The more people that speak of the issues the more likely they're going to get fixed.

Cheers

I'm currently renting a 24/7 server for 14.99 Canadian a month with http://7dtdserverhosting.com I would highly recommend these guys they're awesome. If you're looking to start a dedicated server you have to remember that your lap top or computer will have to be on 24/7 or you'll lose everything. There are a lot of useful tutorials on youtube on how to do it man.

Ive watched everyone of them but none of them worked, I just want one for just me and my friend to play on together not a whole community

Almost every competitive online game is full of jerks.

I have been playing on a password protected dedicated server with about 8 of my friends and we are all having a blast. The game is addicting. Solid game so far for alpha. I hope they work out some of the mutltiplayer gripes you have. The devs seem to be working hard.

imagine if there was perfect alpha game with no glitches

I agree with you but if you can't ban the jerks off your server it's definitely frustrating. I'm also planning on doing the whole password thing until all the issues are fixed.

I see the sarcasm however this game costs money. If you're going to be selling a game with this many problems then they better be ready to hear people complain about it.

i paid 35 dollars for this game and would buy it for every family mamber if they would play well worth 35 dollars to play a game thats being developed while we play it, its in alpha if you cant handle glitches and bugs you should of never bought thge game

Ok, so what you're trying to say is that you would purchase the game for every familly member if they were willing to play. Also that the game is $35 and that it's well worth the price. If the game has so many glitches you should not be paying $35 to play it. It should be ether free or at a very low cost. Now I love this game however I don't love the people that take advantage of the glitches and ruin the game for others. I also don't love that as an admin you can't do anything about it.

"The only way to stop someone from coming into your server is to put a password on it."

Correct!

Banning steam account is ONLY done through VAC, so call and talk to Steam support and I am sure they will instantly and helpfully tell you NO!

If your running your Server through STEAM you will never have any of the features you are requesting.

Try running it through another service and you will get all the Lovely Web Admin / Server Commands you wish to Pay Extra for.

BUT then you will have to advertise and solicit people to come to your server.

You can't have it both ways.

lol for that money you would get a whole VPS
, well if you dont know about servers in general then its best you rent one wich is specific for the game, no question, BUT that price.... its really too high, much too high

People like you are the reason high potential games get rushed and end up sucking compared to what they could be. If you didn't want to deal with these issues you should have waited to buy the game.
