If you have multiple accounts, please make sure to use the key associated with the account you login with.

Common Questions about the Main Site:
Why can't I get access to the MY7DTD section? -- This section is for people who contributed on Kickstarter or purchased on the Main Site before the game existed on Steam. If you bought the game on Steam, or already have your Steam game working, then the MY7DTD section of the Main site has no further purpose for you. That section of the website and the registration to that section of the website used to be done with pre-Steam keys. It used to house the download for the non-Steam version of the game. That version of the game is no longer produced. Once Steam was added the only remaining function for that portion of the website is to allow such people to convert their older pre-Steam key to a Steam key. You do not need to join that section of the website to view any news posts or to read the forum. Further you don't need to join that part of the website to join the forum. You also do not need to join the forum to read the forum.

|WEP|Grim_Reaper, firstly let me give my congrats on bringing 7D2D (7 Days to Die) at last to Steam Store ^_^

This is a great game that many of us where expecting it to see it here and test it to the fullest.

Now, I did log into my account from the link that you provided us but when I use the "Convert Key" page, it shows me empty box with only this: ______-______-______-______

Am I doing anything wrong? Do I have to do something else? or the key hasn't provided to us yet who bought it from your web site?

Wishing you all the best with the game and hope to see it grow "better and stronger"


Edit: Or do we have to use our activation key that we received from our email and put it into the converted key page in order to convert it into Steam account?

Hello there =] Glad to hear you like the game. You need to copy and paste your key into that box.

You can retrieve your key via the lost key page if you need to.

On top of your screen in Steam, there is button that says "Games" click it and then choose "Activate a product on Steam...", then follow the guide that tells you and then put your Steam key that you have.

You put your activation key that you have received in your email (if you still have that email) when you had purchased 7D2D from their website into the "Retrieval Key" section of your 7D2D account. Then when you click it, it will give you the new Steam Key and also it will send it to your email that you have provided when you first purchased the game.

If you used the lost key page, you would have received an email with your key. If you haven't used your key yet, you need to activate it first on the activate page. Then you should be able to convert the key to steam.

I put key in to the site and it gave me a Steam key but when I try to "Add Game" in Steam, Steam is telling me it is a duplicate key??

What?

When you purchased the game from their website, you have received an activation key to your email, isn't it?

That same Activation Key, you need to put it into the "Retrieval Key" section that you see when you log into your account that the developer |WEP|Grim_Reaper provided us above. Then by clicking "convert", you will receive a new Steam key (it will show it a message with green letters) telling you to copy that Steam Key and that it will arrive also into your account.

Then use that new Steam Key as I explained to ete-2006 above.
