Unexpected data error, server is either running an incompatible version or requires the client to install mods

I have deleted, cleaned and reinstalled 7 Days 2 die 3 times now and added the Ravenhearst mod so I can play on a friend's server.. but I get the above error just after password. I have never had this problem before for in the last 8 years on a lot of different mods .
we have same versions, same mod, I have verified each time. I can play a solo game of my own. any suggestion please

Read the Pinned topic on how to report an issue, and follow the instructions. Logs from both your client and the host/server would be useful, but just yours might work. Use Pastebin.
