However, in a (primarily) PvE single-player game (with little to no PvP activity) who's gonna see/buy those skins? The 8 or so friends (and/or PvP griefers) on your private co-op server?

That's a Whole Lotta Dev Time for a very, very small audience (and smaller cash flow)...
I'd rather they continue with (and deliver) the Planned Road Map first.

That'd bring more Paying Survivors onboard than Cosmetics that don't Add Any Content.

Since there's more than one biome, that means at least 4 ghillie suits, not including the urban sprawl suits where you're dressed as a mailbox, garbage can, or lamp post..

Yes, I know, But it was not a skin/cosmetic, But rather a craft-able item in game, If they were to make "playerskins" They could maybe make a ghillie suit one, Only issue is that it might be pay to win, So they could make it cost money but also can be unlocked for free, but just hard to unlock, So there would be a reason to buy it, But for people who did not have money could unlock it, But it would take some time, Maybe increasing the chances of them buying other skins or at the very least more playtime for the game, I might be wrong, But I think this could be a win-win for the developers.

I second this. The devs have stated pvp is not going to be considered in this development, or possibly ever, So with only 8 people to a server, and a primarily single player experience, who's gonna see it, what's the point?

Edit: Also the game is first person so even you won't see it. Not every game needs to be like Fortnight.

They could add a third-person mode, Which is already in the game, But they could make it like officially in the game.

So, the "New Argument" is not only should the Devs/Pub Spend Very Costly:
* Time/Effort to create (potentially paid) DLC Cosmetic-Only Skins, but also
Spend Evan Moar:
* Time/Effort to fully implement 3rd Person (in a game that doesn't really need it otherwise)
So YOU yourself can see these Cosmetic Skin(s) that you Bought (for yourself)...

All in a single-player PvE game, with little to no PvP presence and no large-scale servers...
Did ya Great-Great-Grand-Pappy Invent the Gillie Suit, or what?

While we're at it, let's:
* Make this new DLC cost $2-5 Million a pop, and after they get a few hundred orders
* Re-Tool the Entire Game into a Massive PvP Arena Battle Royale Shooter-Fest for FY2028...

And, while they're at it:
* Sprinkle in +500 FPS of Magic Dust to get all the 40-Series Whiners to ShaddaUp.
A Feature Result I feel has Real Potential for Kick Starter Greatness...

Again, I say:
* Unless it's already in the (almost finished) 2024Q4 Update, this is NOT gonna happen.
It is simply not cost-effective (for one), and has little application in a single-player game.
