why only few things drop glass shards?

like I get why player made wooden window doesnt, but the rest of map generated glass should drop it when destroyed

Best way to get glass is Sand and a Forge, you can make a ton in a short time, or if you want windows just make wood Windows, it only uses Sticks, and the glass magically appears in them :).

I know, Its just not realistic, that u break glass and nothing drops, when it could easily implemented, why should be something like glass shards so rare

if you want to get glass go to sand and dig up sand then unfract it for 4 crushed sand and crushed sand can be melted in the forge in to jars and such very efficent :D

I am not questioning efficienty of sand in forging, but what troubles me is that you break 99 different glass objects and then you break painting, and suddenly it drops glass shards

Most glass windows used to, but they changed things a bit. Pretty much every window used to be the same as the glass panes that zombies drop, but then they added in new ones. The new ones just haven't been updated to drop it I guess. Probably will eventually, but the devs are busy working on other things.

I agree with Munchermajnz. Its a very minor issue. Glass jars are abundant, sand is available at the rivers, and I have never even used glass shards for forging. I would rather the devs spend valuable time working on other things.

you can just set dropOnDestruction : broken_glass or something like that
