Among the new powers you'll be able to: teleport, see player inventories, give items through console, kill players, list land protections, remove land protections, and more..
You can give yourself the permission to use "cm" (creative mode, which is basically just a 'creative window' where you can take items from.) in one of the configs.
Then you'll type 'cm' into the console to activate that 'creative window' just for yourself. Type it again to turn it off.
@OP, the feature you are requesting already exists.
To those that are against it, not everyone abuses the power.
I play on a great PVE server and the admins have cheat mode powers but they need it to travel quickly to players if disputes arise or reimburse items to people who've been raided/hacked etc. This is a 20+ player server, daily. Best PVE server I've come across to date.
I use it at moment permanent, because I want to build some other structures, then the standard-houses for exploring and using.

It was a different game back then :)
It's still doable, though, depending on permission level allocated to the player.
