Where to locate your multiplayer server file?
Anyone know where? I keep seeing online that the file is supposed to be under saves, but I've never had any of my saved games or multiplayer saves in that folder. I actually have no idea where any of my saved worlds are located.

Click on your lower left windows tab.You will see Documents(click that). Then 7Days To Die(clikc that), Then Saves (and click that :) ).Random Gen and Navezgene are your save world folders so click on what your last save was in.You should see your saves there.Player save info and regions are in those saves.

Yea, none of my games have ever been located in that location. Is there a secondary location?

Your game location and your save location is two different places. Did you look in there?

Your game server files is under Steam folder. Steamlibrary/steamapps/common/7Days to die.

I go to the 7D2D file location, the only Saves file I have for the whole game is in Data--Worlds--Navesgame. Both Random Gen and Navesgame save folders have always been empty.

Did you search in your documents folder? Your looking in the games main folder.Thats not were your regular saves are. That folder your in has the serverconfig.xml file for starting a server. Your saves are likely in your documents folder like I said. I'm quite sure thats the default save location

The save game location has changed, the current save location is:
c:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves\[Game World Type]\

So for instance my save world location would be:
c:\Users\StuntPanda\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves\Navezgane\

You'll need to show hidden folders to see the AppData folder. Google "show hidden folders windows" to learn how to do that.

And another necro for completeness sake, in case anyone stumbles over this thread in search for the default location for linux server:
It is in ~/.local/share/7DaysToDie/Saves/ of the user that runs the server.

Since you already necro'd this. I'd just like to point out that if you start the game from steam, you can choose show game launcher instead of start game.

From the launcher there is a tools tab. On the tools tab are buttons to open the save game folder directly
