Please remove the damn dogs!

Title says it all. No one likes dog enemies in games, Especially zombie dogs.. Look at RE1 as an example

I like dogs.
But they have a really weird behavior shooting at them, most shots just get through them, not hitting.

Dogs are the best man's friend even zombies one ! ^.^ Run backward and aim their puppy face, it's not hard to do avoid anything behind you that block your run like trees, cliffs and other zombies. Easy game are fine, hardest are good ones ! ;)

Dogs are fine, they're just too powerful right now.

Balance is important. If a mob is faster than the others, can smell you from further away, is more ferocious than the others... Then they have to be rare and you need special ways of defeating their abilities.

Honestly I think leather armor or higher should render the player effectively immune to the bite of a dog. Certainly by Iron armor should a dog bite cause zero health loss, and zero chance of infection.

The first few days before you get the better armor, dogs should be a fantastic reason to stay indoors during hordes, and not to go to wasteland biomes. Ability to access these parts of the game should be 'unlocked' by getting this better armor.

After scrap armor, dogs should be more of a nuisance than a threat at all.

Well as i agree but what if they go for the throat, its what i'd do as a dog, unless they had a weapon which obvs we would,.

If armor rendered you immune to dogs, do you have any idea how many people would be complaining about how boring the game was? The dogs bring a slight sense danger, just only a slight ammount really, because even naked and only armed with a bow and a few arrows you can still kill them, I have no trouble killing them. The only ones that are dangerous to me are the silent ones, ie the ones who do not growl or warn you that they are there, they simply spawn behind you and start chewing... even then its just a matter of turning and killing them then using a bandage to stop the bleeding.

Minibike is coming soon. Then as long as you don't get yourself caught between them and it when you're out scavenging, you won't have to deal with them at all, potentially. Do minibikes go faster than rabid zombie dogs? I'm not sure I have a metric for this that has any weight to it.

If your native language isn't English, I wuld understand why you didn't sense a lot of sarcasm there. Hence the "*sigh*".

I was replying to Suqqa's original post about removing dogs. I expressed in my post that zombie dogs in a zombie game is completelty fine. By using sarcasm, hopefully that showed him and others that agree with him how dumb it sounds to take out zombie dogs from a zombie game, when all they do is add challenge. I could have brought up "zombie dogs add more challenge" However, people already noted that, and yet there are still people that argue that dogs should be removed.

There needs to be " boss " type creatures in game. Wether its dogs or not isnt my call. ( personally id like a more powerful end gamish type creature or boss zombie area ).

Fear is important, if you hear a certain sound you need to be fearful and run for your like. Some areas need to be " noob free zones " not cuz i hate noobs but because there needs to be high level end game type areas in game. Something to strive for and unappeoachable at lower levels.........

An area or areas where you know where it is and say " once im level 50 i can go in there " anything less and your a puddle of blood on the ground : )

IKR, people want everything the second they spawn in, top teir guns armor ect ect.

Im old school Diablo 1, going down i level in a dungeon and your met at the door with a herd of monsters that ate your face if your level was to low.

I remember other games leveling a week irl to get ready to try to fight them and have any prayer of living.

I miss the challenges us old guys use to love and look forward to.

theyre already adding bears!, to make em zombified i'm doubtful, you leave a huge meat like that dead on floor and the zeds will strip it to bone, (not saying dogs are different) and they will still be powerful no matter what, cause bears are naturally and they will should have high hp as i admit they're tough id hate to fight one in RL, and im sure theyd add more zeds but i prefer them to enable gore like chopping off limbs etc instead of making it seem like what animated object if that makes sense
