Explain 7th day
I am doing google but not clear.

Exactly how is the 7th day different from other days? and when does that time start and when does that time end.

thanks

Im playing only for 5 days now, but what i guess to know:
The 7th day is different to the others in the way that at some time (random?) a horde spawns and is going to attack your base. And it should occur every 7th day but in my actual game, there was no horde on day 35.

what happened on your first 7th day?

my first 7th on random map they found my base at 6:30 so i was fine to escape.

on a second game the 7th morning they never found my house. I am at 10am on 7th day now for that game.

i guess I will find out what happens tonight

Well originally it was in reference to the virus. If you get infected, you have 7 days to find antibiotics or you will die, hence the name of the game.

But now that they've added the 7 day hordes, I guess it now has a bit of a double meaning...

Note that the "7 day hordes" don't, technically, arrive on the 7th day (well, at least they never have for me). They actually arrive during the early morning hours of the 8th day -- or, more precisely, the day after the 7th day.

For example, the first 7 day horde should arrive on day 8 somewhere between 0000 hours and 0600 hours. The next horde will arrive early morning on day 15, then day 22, then day 29, 36, etc, etc.

It may be different for other folks, but it's always happened that way for me.

It doesn't really matter, it's just known as the 7th day horde because it happens approx. every 7 days, otherwise it would be known as the "arrives precisely at 8:02am on the 8th day" horde..

On the server i play for the moment i never has a 7th day horde near my base, this horde always spawn at the south west of the central town and a guy buildt a tower and kill all the zombies

sounds like because he is crafting a lot.

not sure how it works with multiple players.
I do know the more I craft the more likely they will find me at that spot (heat map)

They spawn during the 7th night, and continue until they are killed/ or walk off. They're dangerous once the days grow longer as they get more zombies, and more spitters, ect ect.

ok this is in line with what I have going on now.

no zombies on 7th morning but that is because I hid in a safehouse that I have never crafted in.

7th Day hordes finds me after I do some player actions AND I got killed for the first time from them just hitting me twice.

When I first started I sat around my base all day on the 7th day waiting for the horde to arrive -- which it obviously never did. I think it's useful information for new players, especially in a thread entitled "explain 7th day"..... but, yeah, for vets it hardly matters.

7th day is more dangerous because they zero in on your current location, vs. appearing in/going to the "chunk" area of where heat-map activity was produced even if you're no longer there. eg, 7th days know where you are, right now. And they'll follow you if you try to run. I think there may be a limit to how far they'll doggedly pursue, not sure about that. I don't run. :)

I wish they would bring back the 7 day horde. They are a joke sometimes. They stop and do nothing. I never see cops and dogs are few. Oh well hopefully TFP will bring back the 9.4 zombies. It was awesome when they got bigger on the following week.

well I can say on my last game that my 28th day horde was extreemly huge, cops and all.

but yeah my hordes seem to be random or at the very least not in a predictable pattern

iirc, hordes may be delayed if other hordes are out and about.. I suppose this is so you don't get all 3 types at the same time - heat map, roaming, and 7th day.
