Pine forest...a little tricker. But near the river there's usually flatish areas, and you can always build ... in the middle of a road intersection.
Currently zombies do not react to electric light in any real sense. Doesn't build "heat", and they don't seem to notice you with or without it. I think technically it's supposed to help them "see" you better but I haven't noticed this effect much so don't know how it's supposed to work.
That's what I do. Asphalt is a strong base compared to dirt.
They say the navezgane map is a campaign.story map, but when I played it, i've never seen any indications of this. I also wonder why in single player your the only human, shouldn't there at least be some human npcs around?
