Streamer Weekend is Officially June 21st!
Was announced last night in Dev Stream #3.
You can hear it in the dev's words at
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2172483612
beginning at Timestamp 1:46:22ish.

As in the title,
Streamer Weekend Event is confirmed for: June 21st 2024

If all goes well(IE, No major gamebreaking and difficult-to-fix bugs crop up over the weekend or late on Sunday), It's very likely that public experimental access will be the Monday following the Streamer Weekend Event.

That would be Public Experimental Access: June 24th 2024, assuming no delays come up.
Stable PC Release is still the targeted Estimate for July 25th 2024, and may be delayed.

Playstation and Xbox stores will Soon™ be available for Wishlisting the new console edition, and the old version will likewise Soon™ be delisted.

Console Release is likewise estimated for: July 25th 2024; But they're still waiting on certifications, so that may be delayed somewhat. A discount will be available to owners of the Telltale digital console version, but the size of the discount hasn't been stated yet.

Will update this post when/if any of the other dates aside from the Streamer Weekend one are confirmed.

Never was a fan of streamer weekend, we all paid for the game, we should all get access, but I know, marketing is marketing, I dont like it, so I dont watch it. But GL with it none the less.

no kidding, the marketing would still work if we all could enjoy the game in the same time. Because most people allrdy have the game. :-D

Hate that ♥♥♥♥

37 year old man here. You're incorrect. Might wanna expand your purview a lil'.

55 year old woman here, also enjoying watching streamer weekend.

Lots of people across many demographics enjoy watching streamers. Educate yourself a bit.
What a lovely conversation.

I dont care if it helps with company profits or finding bugs, I just wanna play , and test it out myself what the frek. its been so many years of this Dev team . It's not sensitivity which grips me, though I do freely admit that I loathe what "streamer Culture" has done to video gaming writ large.

Ultimately, over the years, I've been wtness to several degradations of the video game industry and most recently, it's streamer culture and the reverence afforded to streamers which I find distasteful.
Treating them as more valuable than the rest of a playerbase, giving them benefits just because they stream... it's creating a schism of sorts where people who stream are treated as some sort of upper class gamer; there are numerous examples of that backfiring with some of the recent notables being when Starbreeze paid streamers to overhype their abomination that is Payday 3, or Kinetic Games (Phasmaphobia) being busted allowing their favorite streamer to cheat while they threatened harsh action against anyone else doing the same (they also happen to be giving streamers earlier-than-everyone-else access to their upcoming update, albeit only an extra day, but again we see streamers treated with more favor than the rest of the playerbase... why? because the're streamers)...

The recurring lesson being that putting streamers ahead of the rest of the players, is a ♥♥♥♥ move and is largely considered distasteful just like microtransactions.

Streamers provide free advertising, advertising is expensive and effective, hype sells.
Little Johnny playing 7D2D in his basement for no-one else to see is worth 1x the box price of the game + a potential number of extra sales in word-of-mouth.

Little Johnny playing 7D2D on Twitch or Youtube with 5000 viewers is potentially worth many times more.

It's not personal.

Streamers are not an upper class of gamers, they are advertisers.

Anyone can choose to become an advertisers just as anyone can choose to become a streamer.

And whether you like it or not, having a popular streamer hyping up your game is without a shadow of a doubt more valuable than a single consumer.

Honestly, if I hadn't purchased the game already when it first entered alpha, there is almost no chance I would now. The game is cool, but the idea of a streamer weekend is a huge turn off. Hopefully nobody watches any of the streams that are playing it, just wait for Monday and enjoy it then.

You'd be disappointed to know that quite a lot of people watch streamers on streamer weekend.

Wow can't wait 3 days for ver 1.0? Good thing you kids were not around in the 80's/90's Mail order would have put you all in a early grave.

You don't get it, do you? It's not that we can't wait, the problem is that some idiots can just play and stream pointlessly. If I'm interested in what others are playing, I want to play myself and at the same time as everyone else, because it's fair and we all have this ♥♥♥♥ game supported.

If waiting isn't a problem for you, then what's the big deal? It's been said multiple times in all of these pointless threads by people complaining why streamer weekend is a thing. At this point, all I see are children complaining about not having a brand new toy that their friend had because mommy told them to wait until Christmas.

And insulting streamers for no reason by calling them idiots isn't a good look for you. Just go's to show how immature some people are.

im wondering if theyare a streamer or a content creator that didnt make the cut to get the pass to play this weekend lol i say that because they said "I want to play myself and at the same time as everyone else" knowing dang well that everyone else isnt play this weekend just the ones TFP gave the passes to lol all i see in my mind is a child stomping there feet and crying about how its not fair that they want the same popular toys that everyone else has and didnt get what they wanted much like you said lol its sad.

Quite a lot is quite a lot. Can you imagine than more than quite a lot people don't watch streamers? Because why would someone be spending time on watching someone doing something when there's lot's of other stuff to do? Post some BS on the forum for example.
=)
I can't even name one streamer I know. There's none. So how can all this streamers influence me? Hehehe...

Hello Dinosaur!
=)
I do remember the 80-90s. And if my memory serves me right at that time the games were done BEFORE thay were released. No patches. No DLC.
Just a game. Ready to play. 100%.
When did we lost that along the way?
