The gameworld of War3zUK is nowhere near as player-orientated as is normal in games. The world doesn't scale to the player character very much. The player character is not the centre of the universe. So at the start of the game when the player character is unskilled, emaciated, frail and unequipped, the gameworld will slaughter them.
The OP is doing well to have got through the first gameday of their first playthrough without getting killed. War3zUK isn't a mod I'd recommend to players who haven't played with mods before. I would recommend the mod, but not as a first mod. It's a different gameplay experience.
A big tip, use your gun and bullets for dangerous enemies, like doggies, and for others just use traps, traps were made to slow zombies.
