What day is it? There is a dog horde now & you can look in the release notes to see the horde cycle, it goes to 21st day then recycles.
first 3 days or so they spawn in on player even after death of player you can be anywhere woods open desert even on a roof in a town and they just spawn in next to you ,less than 30 seconds after re-entering the world

Are you on a MP server? That sounds like a "joke" by a mischievous admin using the "spawnentity" command to be honest.
yeah but no , its only myself and a couple close friends on a closed server and they come in a few seconds after i die we use steam chat and they sound just as confused as myself

hmmm, something very odd going on in the spawning then.
I haven't seen such instances myself, but Mytheos mentioned in another thread that on a MP server there had been cop zombies spawn in directly on players and instantly explode.

i've heard peeps talk about game-breaking bugs but this is the first one i've heard of that would destroy the game for me, i'd be reinstalling the game and starting a new map, that sounds totally unplayable to me
yeah it can be im not to worried though thought maybe there would be a quick fix , oh well , alpha 12 will be here soon and im sure with everything being added a server wipe will be required
have either of you had a problem with air drops

I do have to say that sounds very terrifying. I certainly hope that never happens to me lol.
Wandering hordes can contain dogs depending on your heat map. This is a standard gameplay mechanic.

Anything you do in the game (looting, crafting, traveling long distances between biomes), will generate heat.

Usually doing something else, like let's say gathering materials in-between looting/crafting, can and will reduce your heat map.

You can display your heatmap by activating debug mode (dm in console), and pressing F6 twice. This will give you a good idea of what exactly causes more heat.

As of 11.4 (when the spawns were reduced/changed), the heat map is a bit buggy, causing wandering hordes to spawn in your line of sight.

Hopefully it will get fixed soon. The heat map is a normal gameplay mechanic. Entities spawning ontop of you is not.
