Item Quality in Creative/Cheat Mode
Is there a way to chose the quality of spawned items? If not, could that be added? I'm curious to see what someone with impossible luck would get with max quality items, but I don't really want to keep opening and closing the spawn menu untill I get lucky and get a 599 quality item.

I was watching a stream of 7 days to die and the guy was saying that his sniper rifle was only in blue is that the same as your view of creative?

No, if I open and close it enough, I've seen purple ones before, but all of them have had qualities in the low 500s.

giveself => usage: give itemName qualityLevel (default quality is 600)

ö (at german keyboard Layout) fpr Console
"dm" (+"cm") (leave console)
G
Space (really short is enough)
Giveself Auger 600
G

voila

Or do it the easy way and level Scavenger skill >lvl 66, then you find quality 600 Items often enough. (Not that hard, lvl 66 Scavenger and Characterlevel 106 in 4 Real days)

The easiest way while using the Creative menu is to type in what you want, for example let's say the sniper rifle. In the search bar, type in sniper and you should see the sniper rifle on the left with a number. Delete the r in sniper and the number will randomly change. Type back in the r and it will change again. Keep deleting the r and retyping it until you see a number you like. You can get what you want really quickly using this method, though it sounds like the giveself command is even quicker.

I just press the little top icons ("All" "Blocks" etc) over and over to make the quality numbers of everything shown change each time. I used to do the delete one letter thing but that became annoying. I prefer just tapping the one button.

That said, 600 rarely comes up in Creative's randomness, so if you truly want 600 of something to test or whatever, the giveself command is the way to go, vs. clicking dozens/hundreds of times trying to get it to pop.

This.
Plus, grab the book to teach yourself how to make them so you can assemble a better version. I did this earlier today with a sniper rifle actually. I grabbed one that was about level 300 and clicked on it to see what level the parts were. Two were good but two were low 200s and the level of those parts in the open creative menu was 500ish and 400ish so I grabbed those and swapped them out so now the gun is in the high 400s.

I appreciate the responses, everyone. But this thread is over a year old, and I figured things out long ago.
