7 Days to Die

7 Days to Die

RadeonPro + Sweet FX seem to help this game.
If you own an AMD card, do yourself a favor, uninstall RAPTOR, and install RadeonPRO.

Then go grab SweetFX, and set up the sweet FX setting in the RadeonPRO's Program Options for Sweet FX.

Then make a profile for 7 Days to die, and LAUNCH FROM RadeomPRO. Do not launch it from steam. If you see a Yellow FPS counter in the upper lefthand corner, you have everything working.

Settings I found helpful:

SMAA, it really looks great even on LOW. Make sure you disable the AntiAlius from inside 7Days to die. You will get nice smooth lines, and non of the AA overhead from CSAA ,or MSAA.

Verticle Sync forced ON, and under Tweaks, set the mode to "Dynamic" Vsync. This is a must for HDTV owners. You get the nice picture, without the mouselag associated with standard Vsync.

The On screen FPS counter is a really nice feature for tweaking the ingame settings too!

Nice
Make a tutorial video and show us the ingame graphic?:)
works only on AMD cards?:(
SweetFX works on practically any game, regardless of graphics card. Obviously the Radeon Pro approach is unqiue to AMD cards though.

Yeah i wrote this like 1 or 2 years ago, I have no idea why it is only now visible. Maybe the forum mod who banned me got all of his actions reversed? I have no idea.

The guy who does Radeon Pro got absorbed by AMD, and still AMD does not support SMAA in their desktop application. Pretty sad when a big company kills something that made their products look so good.

Reshade is really nice, but lacks a decent GUI. i think they quit Radeon Pro in 2012? I dont know this was like 2 computers ago for me. I have a simple little alienware alpha now, and i dont have to play too many games to get 7 days to die to look nice now.

There was a Forum mod called Jaga back then who banned me for shareing my information on Sweet FX because it somewhat contradicted his little version of how to optimize this game. Guess no one ever told him that PC's are all a little different, and what works for one guy might not work for another guy. i wonder if he got banned and his actions got reversed?

Anyway +1 for Reshade, I am not sure if this Radeon Pro even works anymore. This was back when i was still using windows 7.
