Common places to find a forge book

Where are some common places to find it?

The most common is the Noble Book Store...other than that loot all Bookcases you find, even garbage piles will have them on occassion

You can find them everywhere, zombie bodies, garbage/trash, and bookshelves.

Cleared a town. . .found every book but the forge book :/. . .I found another town. . .This one probably has it being that it has other types of buildings (aside form houses). The one I raided had mostly houses and a single store (but there was a good 15+ houses ranging form single floor to 3 floors plus basement). I did how ever get alot of guns lol.

Don't forget to try Mailboxes alongside roads, I keep finding random books. Also, 'cabin in the woods' locations apparently now have pre-made Forges available. Temp base if nothing else until you can scout/loot a Forge Ahead book.

Not to come off as a prick here, but have you tried bookshelves yet? Also found one on a dead Zed today, and often times in wall safes or desk safes.

I just started a new game, set up camp right next to a small town, still day 1, and I found it in a set of drawers in a house I was looting....

These are the places I've found one, in order of highest chance to lowest chance:
(Note that this is based on my experience, and your mileage may vary)

- Bookshelf
- Desk
- Filing Cabinet
- Dresser
- Wall Safe
- Garbage Pile
- Zombie

Yep, found around 15 of them, found every book but the forge.

Just rotten luck then, keep at it. I found one in a trash bag today in my SP game in addition, so that seems to be a thing now. Lots of garbage to look in though, maybe too much. Good luck.

Yup. Sometimes the random numbers throw you a bone, and other times they moon you from the window of a passing car.

I've found the forge book within the first 10 seconds of playing, and other times it's been 5 game days before I find one.

Compared to other books, forge ahead seems to be an epic loot or so. I only managed to find it on 10th day. I guess I was unlucky, cause there wasn't "born and noble" store in the central city.
