Knockback Enemy
Maybe add an ability to kick/shove enemys away a bit? Because getting stunned now is mostly death in 80% of situations.

Oh hell no. Weapon knockback is the stupidest thing ever.... now you want to physically knock them back? shoot them in the head and move on. melee is for desperation only.

In any game with melee combat in it, should have a knockback option...no excuses lol. It add to the fun and gives you a slight chances of staying alive. It can either be a kick or a weapon push. Specially since the zombies can stun you so easily and overrun you.

Thanks

To do this you would need to be physiclly strong a computer geek would not have the strength to shove zombie back with a melee weapon let alone carry a melee weapon other then a bladed weapon or a knife.

I second this request, a melee attack that takes stamina but is a push kick to the chest - almost all humans can perform this martial art, seriously.

I do not think weapons should knock back, but a push kick to the solar area works fine on live and would assume dead humans alike ;-)

Dead Island \ Dying Light kick attack. Make it cost alot of stamina (so you can't spamkick) and it might help get that zombie away from your face (at the cost of not having alot of stamina left for running away) ?

I agree however that knockback on anything less than a sledgehammer swung full force (and even then) is pretty far out there.

edit: Ninjad!

Well someone can correct me if i'm wrong,
BUT,
I joined the ALPHA from about near the end of 7 coming upto to ALPHA 8.

Now i am pretty sure that i noticed on the game screen that there was a mention of a knockback system being used or implemented into the game at some point, i think it was meant to be around A9 i think, dont know where the screen went but after a update the enemy knockback system was there no more
So ?
Did i see it or not,
Maybe TFP's was possibly going to add it but opted to not add it in and thats the reason why you never saw it on the enter world scene again.
Cheers

This might be tied into the promises of a leveling type system? They did state on the main page that we would be able to specialize our lvls into areas, but this has yet to make it into game. If it does, maybe it will allow us special skills?

Well yes but shoving a enemy back should cost stamina as to note zombies can't feel pain so they are stronger cause of this you will need to push hard to force them back. The best option maby if you know martial arts is to do a leg sweep to trip them to the ground then get away. But for the devs to code in martial arts may take awhile.

Like 30% of max. stamina, sure.
