Not sure of the others, unless they were INCREDIBLY rare and only found in some heavily Zed'ed military outpost.
Grease gun would be fairly over the top given that it's a WWII era gun... It'd be weird to just randomly come across those and weirder to be able to craft them.
Id like to see a bit more variation in vanilla guns myself, but Modding is where you will find the most variation. Some people have added ridiculous amounts of guns to the game.
- Spear
- Kitchen knife
- Rolling pin
- Frying pan
- Rake
- Gardening Shears
- Hedge trimmer (much weaker chainsaw)
- Slingshot
- Trophy
- Net
- Tripwire
I want less "pew pew" and more "pow pow"
To get more from my game, I play so that I cannot craft ammo. The only time I can use a gun, is if I scavange the ammo for it. This makes guns extremely valuable and rare commodities; only to be used in those desperate-type-situations.
Weapons I would love to see removed:
- SMG
- Military Sniper Rifle (Hunting Rifle is okay)
- Rocket launcher
Grenade launcher and any "pew pew" that has an acronym of over 2 letters, gets a big double thumbs down from me. It destroys my immersion and the feeling of trying to survive. That's just my 2 cents
I don't think however they should remove military sidearms or sport/hunting weapons.
If I was a prof. soldier I would try to find that kind of weapons I've been trained on.
If I was even a casual hunter I'd go for a rifle or a hunting knife.
If I was a martial arts student I'd probably search some exotic blade in a shop.
If I was a hockey player... you know what, lol! :-]
A lever / pulley system would be nice too so players could hvae makeshift elevators instead of ladders everywhere.
There's potential for a ton of content once we get to U5 Alpha 11
Being in Texas it's normal to just go to a gun store buy parts for a gun make it yourself at home with basic tools and then go shooting. I kinda hope in order to make guns harder to get/use you have to create a work bench in which you simply add the tools required and add the gun parts then the gun comes out shortly there after. Like for an AR15 to be built you need several tools but simply condense the tools down or just have 1 tool works all kinda deal.
I miss my Lincoln Repeater!
If we're going to keep on going with iron sights, I'd like to see a lever-action rifle, like the Marlin 1894 Cowboy Colt in .44 Mag. Iron sights on a saddle gun make sense. At least to me. And with a 10-shot tubular magazine, wouldn't have to reload so much.
Cap and ball .45 Jose Wales style, black powder.
.50 cal blackpowder rifle.
Bayonet for rifles
Swords and Hafted weapons.
Pitchfork to pin them in place.
Traps, iron jaws. Here doggy, doggy.
Bows, compound bows. Compound hunting xbow with scope. Daryl loves you.
.45 1911A1, military, simple, John Browning made it.
Ma Deuce, Browing again and would be on almost every Hummer, every tank, at every military base. The most used military weapon in the world.
The MP5 is 9mm, or 10mm or many other calibers. This could be a chance to parts out the gun and make it the caliber you want. 9mm less pop but less recoil, 10mm more pop, more recoil, .45 and it snarls and slams you.
so many things can be added. I myself prefer more melee weapons, thrown weapons, traps, alarms lines with cans and rocks, trip wires, etc.
