Weapons i believe they should add
- Ar-15
- satchel charge ( with a detonator for fort purposes)
- hatchet( for fighting purposes only)
- grease gun( like the 9mm smg from fallout)
- deagle (would use either 44 or add a new type of bullet)
- flare gun (used a singleshot distraction to zeds)
- steyr mp34 ( would basicaly be the poor mans smg)
- double barrel shotgun ( fire one barrel at a time and have sawned off option)
- bolt action sniper rifle
- m79 grenade launcher

i think these weapons should be added as the game is updated over time. what do you guys think?

Flare gun, definitely a good idea!

Not sure of the others, unless they were INCREDIBLY rare and only found in some heavily Zed'ed military outpost.

Grease gun would be fairly over the top given that it's a WWII era gun... It'd be weird to just randomly come across those and weirder to be able to craft them.

The weapons are changing in Alpha 11 the general idea is on the offical website. There is also some pictures that one of devs does on a blog. Like the idea of a grease gun as they were very easy to make during the WWII. As 7DTD seems to be based in america high powered guns should not really be that hard to find as you can buy them at gun stores in somes american states.

Many Mods already have this stuff...my own has a Scoped AR, a Deagle, a double barrel and a bolt action .50 cal but no scope. You can also use an explosive crossbow bolt to distract Zeds asyou would with a flare gun.

Id like to see a bit more variation in vanilla guns myself, but Modding is where you will find the most variation. Some people have added ridiculous amounts of guns to the game.

Weapons I would love to see:
- Spear
- Kitchen knife
- Rolling pin
- Frying pan
- Rake
- Gardening Shears
- Hedge trimmer (much weaker chainsaw)
- Slingshot
- Trophy
- Net
- Tripwire

I want less "pew pew" and more "pow pow"

To get more from my game, I play so that I cannot craft ammo. The only time I can use a gun, is if I scavange the ammo for it. This makes guns extremely valuable and rare commodities; only to be used in those desperate-type-situations.

Weapons I would love to see removed:
- SMG
- Military Sniper Rifle (Hunting Rifle is okay)
- Rocket launcher

Grenade launcher and any "pew pew" that has an acronym of over 2 letters, gets a big double thumbs down from me. It destroys my immersion and the feeling of trying to survive. That's just my 2 cents

Well, I guess everyone is different.
I don't think however they should remove military sidearms or sport/hunting weapons.

If I was a prof. soldier I would try to find that kind of weapons I've been trained on.
If I was even a casual hunter I'd go for a rifle or a hunting knife.
If I was a martial arts student I'd probably search some exotic blade in a shop.
If I was a hockey player... you know what, lol! :-]

I think the net thing is a good idea I'd love to see methods of automatic defense when something triggers it.

A lever / pulley system would be nice too so players could hvae makeshift elevators instead of ladders everywhere.

There's potential for a ton of content once we get to U5 Alpha 11

I'd leave adding guns like this to mods. The base game itself isn't built for a huge arsenal. The loot system would become flooded with gun parts and it would be too hard to actually make the gun. The game would work best by keeping it simple if you ask me. Now if we had some option to change one gun's skin so we could have our favorite by replacing an existing one, then that works.

they already have too many guns in the game for whatever threat zombies pose currently. any new gun for the game would need to be purely aesthetic but otherwise the same as existing guns or be necessary for some new crazy zombie threat. when they get to making the pvp mode they can noodle on things that would make base / bunker busting interesting but for now none of that is necessary as it breaks the pve core of the game. players need to be balanced against the zombies, not other players.

I kinda agree going to a gun store and getting a full auto SMG is just kinda OP/silly I could see getting parts for an AR15 or AR10 (.308 win/7.62mm based AR) or AK47 based rifle but nothing fully auto as this just kinda ruins it for me. I'm kinda hoping they make the SMG a find only at military bases and they switch the ammo for them over to 9mm (it's an MP5 it uses 9mm not 10mm only a few pistols shoot that), and the recipe for the AR15 or AK47 which ever they chose to add (hopefully AR15) will simply use the recipe for the 10mm bullet and change it to either .223 win or 5.56mm.

Being in Texas it's normal to just go to a gun store buy parts for a gun make it yourself at home with basic tools and then go shooting. I kinda hope in order to make guns harder to get/use you have to create a work bench in which you simply add the tools required and add the gun parts then the gun comes out shortly there after. Like for an AR15 to be built you need several tools but simply condense the tools down or just have 1 tool works all kinda deal.

Once they add roaming NPC Bandits (they will!) then I'd love to see some weapon variety, Fallout style.

I miss my Lincoln Repeater!

With you there bud I do not want 50 weapon types I want 5-15 that can be modded like you could do in fallout. I would love to see a repeating rifle in the game like the winchester.

I think better hunting rifles. I don't know why we're doing the iron-sights thing since I, and most hunters I know, have used scoped, semi-automatic or bolt-action rifles since the 1970s. And this single-shot thing. Sure, in 1920 or something. But we should be having clips -- internal or removeable, but clips.

If we're going to keep on going with iron sights, I'd like to see a lever-action rifle, like the Marlin 1894 Cowboy Colt in .44 Mag. Iron sights on a saddle gun make sense. At least to me. And with a 10-shot tubular magazine, wouldn't have to reload so much.

Revolver, .45 cowboy.
Cap and ball .45 Jose Wales style, black powder.
.50 cal blackpowder rifle.
Bayonet for rifles
Swords and Hafted weapons.
Pitchfork to pin them in place.
Traps, iron jaws. Here doggy, doggy.
Bows, compound bows. Compound hunting xbow with scope. Daryl loves you.
.45 1911A1, military, simple, John Browning made it.
Ma Deuce, Browing again and would be on almost every Hummer, every tank, at every military base. The most used military weapon in the world.
The MP5 is 9mm, or 10mm or many other calibers. This could be a chance to parts out the gun and make it the caliber you want. 9mm less pop but less recoil, 10mm more pop, more recoil, .45 and it snarls and slams you.
so many things can be added. I myself prefer more melee weapons, thrown weapons, traps, alarms lines with cans and rocks, trip wires, etc.

Samurai swords, Throwing knifes/stars, Sai, Nunchucks, Staffs, Spears or Sickle.
