I have a Deep Underground Base (BedRock)... I want to start a farm, but when I was reading about farming (much as the OP stated); it said that Underground farming needs a SkyLight. Does this mean a light from the surface; or as stated above to simply place Glass (or something above your plants)???
In short... is it possible to have a Farm located all the way down to BedRock (and Import the need soil)???
Advanced thanx for any/all help.
Maybe the devs wanted farming to be more realistic, or maybe this is a bug, but farming, as of now, is not worth it unless you're going to have a farm bigger than 10X5.... 30X15 might be a better choice.
I'm able to get stuff planted without it getting uprooted from grass, but that's because I build my farms in a similar way to this guide.

The only difference is that I make my farms elevated so nothing can walk on the crops.

You can't see it very well, but the garden is to the right, in the background.
