Might want to get a screenshot to help see it.

Did you try the wooden frame thing - sometimes you can place a frame where an invisible block appears to be, then removing the frame seems to get rid of the invisible block.

Also...dang, that's a huge spike trap thingie. Fun times.

Probably an issue due to a missing block or blocks in the column directly under that space. i.e. too much empty space in that column, vertically. It's the situation I described in another topic recently.

How far down does your digging under that block go?

So is that deep vertical column in the 2nd screen there directly under the block you can't place? It would explain a lot.

There may be a workaround: grab a stack of frames, and go fill in the empty space in the same column where you want to place the trunk tip. Go down as far as you can to fill it in, then up as high as you can (still under the block you want to place). Then go and try to place the trunk tip - you can remove the frames after.

Did you try to use your pickaxe on the empty space?
Just to check if there's a buggy invisible block there you know...

I still don't get it - wasn't given enough information. Which block was hit, the concrete under the problem spot? The problem spot itself (with a supposedly invisible block)? What is gone?
